Burney Falls – This waterfall about an hour north of Redding, California has been nicknamed the “eighth wonder of the world”. Peak visitation begins in April and runs through October. The park amenities include campsites, RV Access, and boating activities. Once there, take time to enjoy the falls and explore the park on one of their hiking trails.
San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge – If you have driven north towards Napa through Vallejo, you have passed through a stretch of mudflats and marsh. This area is part of the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Running along the north shore of San Pablo Bay in Sonoma, Solano, and Napa Counties in northern California, the refuge provides a protective habitat for wildlife. The refuge is open year round during daylight hours and offers several trails for biking and hiking.
